Pack Powwow on October 10
Calling all Pack 731 Cub Scouts to the first Pack Powwow (all-Pack meeting) of the year! Join all the boys of Pack 731 on Friday, October 10, from 7:30 to 8:30pm in the cafeteria at Crofton Elementary. Please arrive promptly so we can start on time and get out on time.

(We meet at Crofton Elementary because we're so big and active that we don't fit in Prince of Peace church, which is our actual chartering organization. The meeting location has nothing to do with where Pack 731 boys attend school.)

Boys from several dens will be performs skits, songs, or show&tell, we'll have a special activity time, and you'll get to meet the other boys in the Pack. All Scouts should wear Cub Scout uniforms, but do not bring your Handbooks. The Powwows are strictly for fun.

See you on Friday night!

Wear Your Class B Uniform to School - Thursday, September 4th
Scouts, as you begin this new scouting year, remember how much fun you had at events such as the Pinewood Derby, Winter Camping and Camp Tomahawk. Also remember, how you made a positive difference at service projects such as Scouting for Food and the Crofton Elementary School Clean up Projects. If you had a great time in Scouts this past year, share scouting with a friend by bringing them to Pack 731’s Recruiting Night at 7:00PM at Crofton Elementary School on Friday September 5th. Remember that Pack 731 has scouts attending several Elementary Schools throughout the Greater Crofton and Gambrills area. We meet at Crofton Elementary, but you do not need to attend Crofton Elementary to be a member of Pack 731. In addition, if you recruit a new scout to Pack 731, you will earn the Recruiter Patch. Also, this year there is the Super Recruiter program where you can earn a special patch during a ceremony at historic Ft. McHenry and have a chance to win a Wii!

To help you recruit a friend, I would like all of you to Wear Your Class B Uniform to School on Thursday, September 4th. Your yellow "Do Your Best" T-Shirt would be the best, however, a Camp Tomahawk shirt or Orange Tiger Shirt would work fine as well.

During lunch on Thursday, September 4th at Crofton Elementary, I will be talking to the 1st thru 5th grade boys about how fun it is to be a Cub Scout as well as some of the interesting activities they can participate in when they join Pack 731. Committee Chair Molly Weems, will be helping me as well as Assistant Cubmaster Brian Taschenberger as his work schedule permits. During my talk I will ask for all current scouts in Pack 731 to stand up which will demonstrate how many boys are already members of our dynamic Pack.

I look forward to seeing many of you at lunchtime on Thursday, September 4th as well as many of your friends and their families at Pack 731's Recruiting Night (7:00PM at Crofton Elementary School on Friday, September 5th).

Remember: Clap your hands!, Stomp Your Feet!, 731 Can't Be beat!
